This is a response/concern to application 51995.1611.04
 
As a directly impacted neighbor of the property being Unit 2 at 11 Opel Street we basically welcome the changes in the application.
Moving the children's playground to the other side of the building would be greatly appreciated. 
Our main concern is the use of the eastern side of the building as a storage area,  potentially adding another refrigeration unit to the already very noisy existing one.
The compressor on/off and operating noise of the existing one are at times unbearable, running 24/7, particularly in warm weather. 
So is the children's playground directly behind the fence, particularly on Saturdays and Sundays.
We often leave home because the noise is as if the children are directly on our verandah.
We really doubt the findings of the noise report conducted by "live it acoustics"on the 4thFeb and 6thMarch respectively.  Tuesday and Thursday , being days with barely anybody if not nobody in the playground area.
We would welcome them to redo at certain times.
When I purchased the unit 3 1/2 years ago I did so because it was next to a community serving bowls club that was hardly noticeable. 
The new owners are obviously pursuing commercial interests with very little or no concern to the adjacent neighborhood .
This also applies to the staff that is cleaning up after hours, often listening to loud music, shouting, rearranging chairs, emptying bins, slamming doors and so on.
Let alone delivery trucks with refrigeration units idling at the front in the very early morning hours and the last departing guests with cars revving and sounding their horns as a good bye .
 
Extending the operating hours would also be of great concern for us.
