6   PROPOSED MOTION             TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION OF
    QUEENSLAND 2017             ANNUAL CONFERENCE - SHORT TERM VISITOR
    ACCOMMODATION
    That Council note the report by the Chief Executive Officer to the General Committee Meeting
    dated 14 August 2017 and submit the following Proposed Motion to the Local Government
    Association of Queensland for consideration at its 2017 Annual Conference:
    “That the Local Government Association of Queensland make representations to the State
    Government seeking action to formulate a clear policy and response to the use of residential
    properties for short term accommodation where facilitated by on-line booking agencies
    including:
    A.   Requiring the on-line booking agencies to provide Councils with property addresses so
         that they can help to ensure properties comply with appropriate planning schemes and
         rating requirements;
    B.   Consideration of the long-term impact on local communities including the availability of
         rental accommodation stock, impact on housing affordability, impact on local amenity
         and potential impact on existing tourism properties.”



7   NOOSA COUNCIL SIGNAGE POLICY
    That Council note the report by the Acting Infrastructure Planning, Design & Deliver Manager
    to the General Committee Meeting dated 14 August 2017 and adopt the Noosa Signage
    Policy provided at Attachment 1 with the following change to Page 1, Paragraph 3 of the
    Policy:
        replace the words “guidance and procedures” with “direction”.

    That Council note the report by the Civil Operations Manager to the General Committee
    Meeting dated 14 August 2017 and:
    A.   Award tender 1617T113 for Cleaning of Public Open Space and Amenities to the
         following contractors:

    B.   Award tender 1617T113 for Cleaning of Public Open Space and Amenities for an initial
         period of three (3) years, with options to extend the contract for three (3) terms of up
         to twelve (12) months each. Options to extend will be at Council’s sole discretion and
         subject to Council’s review of Contractor performance under the Contract and
         proposed pricing.
