        Figure 17: The side verandah return of the original L-shaped verandah (northern side of house) has also been fully enclosed
        however this enclosure incorporates earlier construction, materiality and detailing. Note the paneled fibro balustrade
        enclosure with the array of timber-framed casement windows above. Also noted is the blockwork enclosure of the
        building’s undercroft space, which incorporates some breezeblocks in this location for subfloor ventilation purposes.
