Note: Where the delivery is less than the stated QC testing frequency, the initial compliance certification
certificate must be deemed to demonstrate compliance.

Minor non-compliance
The Contractor will make corrective procedures to bring any soil that has been placed within compliance in
accordance with the agronomist’s advice.

Substantial non-compliance
In the event that quality control samples and test results show substantial non-compliance from the approved
performance target ranges, the Contractor is to provide methodology to rectify in place or remove and
replace non-compliant soils.

Record keeping
Growing media initial compliance certification records must be kept in an easily retrievable manner that
provides for traceability of purchase and location on site. Each compliance certification for all the product
specifications used on site must be identified by date, quantity to be supplied and a copy of the formulation
used to reach compliance. Each batch of soil must be identified by date of manufacture, quantity and a
corresponding test result and must link into when the material was delivered and where the material was
placed.

Unwanted material
The soil must be free from any debris, existing plant matter, rubble, waste or other contaminated materials
likely to interfere with the quality of the soil. Visible contaminants smaller than 2mm shall not exceed 0.5 % of
the soil mass.
