SERVICES & ORGANISATION COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 8 JUNE 2021
The evaluation data was sourced by various means including:
Traffic, cycle and pedestrian counts on 3 January
Bus patronage counts
Visual observations
Stakeholder feedback
Feedback surveys
Noosa Heads Lions Park paid parking receipts
Tourism Noosa Data
Anecdotal information from Ferry Operator
It is acknowledged that behaviour change projects are difficult to evaluate given the lack of control
groups, challenge in obtaining data and variability in factors affecting behaviour. For example,
COVID may have influenced people’s willingness to catch a crowded bus. As such, the insights
are based on a review of available information compared to desired outcomes of the 2017-2027
Noosa Transport Strategy and information obtained in previous years.
Table 1 summarises the initiatives, comparative analysis and insights and data. For a detailed
assessment of each of the initiatives, refer to Attachment 1: Go Noosa 2020-21 Peak Period Traffic
