SERVICES & ORGANISATION COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 8 JUNE 2021

The change from 3-year to 5-year terms for Commercial High use permits was outlined in previous
Council reports and adopted prior to the commencement of the tender process.
The table of Commercial High Use permit activities is now proposed in the policy to provide greater
certainty and transparency around these key commercial permits. In undertaking previous tender
and expression of interest processes for permits since 2014, Council has not identified need for
any new commercial activities or additional sites. Adoption of the table within the policy will reduce
ad hoc permit applications, which have historically gone unsupported. Should Council wish to add
to the range of commercial sites in future it would need to amend the policy.
