Traffic so heavy now on Hill St and parking so slim and so obscuring. Hard to see pedestrians cross the road and it’s a particularly difficult spot to get a car out of the driveway: frighteningly so. This is a side by side duplex and if it is a different owner next door, either now or the future, would be gut-wrenching to have the disturbance of the constant stream of holiday guests in such close proximity, especially in the outdoor section at the rear. (This has been allowed by Council to happen corner of Hill St and Pacific Ave Sunshine Beach and also in Nannygai , Noosaville) much to neighbours’ rightful anger. Anyway it’s now a complete over supply of STA in Hill st (just like the recent knock back in Peregian (at last!!!!!) so hopefully the planning department and all but one Councillor again take their cue from loss of amenity for full-time residents. The density of STA in this street is wrecking this area for non-STAs who are clinging onto to the remnants of their diminishing neighbourhood , and it appears, with no financial compensation in sight from Nøosa Council. Keep plonking another ever/changing new group of say 7-8, tourist clients (probably has bunks) into a residential enclave and experience the bad experience: “laws “are continue to mean nothing and it’s very rare for police to be able to attend. ) and it seems that police won’t have the means of announcing their presence (eg an intercom). Time Nøosa council published ALL of their coastal area STA maps: the overly populated STA residences will be a shock for all. More than enough is exactly that and we still see vacancy signs at the regulated accommodation: only a short distance away. Publication of the squillions of STA will also be a wake up call for the many residents not yet fully aware of what their diminished future is going to be because of a vast over supply of STA!!!!!’ (See also “STA floodgates open” in Nøosa today’s august 6, page 28.) ________________________________ This comment was submitted via PlanningAlerts, a free service run by the OpenAustralia Foundation<https://aus01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fprotect-au.mimecast.com%2Fs%2FwqvTC2xMBVuRWA9FBiMOU%3Fdomain%3Demail2.planningalerts.org.au&data=04%7C01%7C[email protected]%7C0a688454de334bb6e00d08d95927c52f%7C99d9dd67b90f4999a44ef2d3700133b2%7C0%7C0%7C637638849619021218%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=jP4BDRtHUzf1aQeoJ2eV4Bned67Sq7tkoBx4S%2BJhISg%3D&reserved=0> for the public good.
