Subject: col BCS 92 Proposed chicken farm, Cooroy, objection. From: steve stevenson Date: 2013-06-14T04:46:55+00:00 To: Internet Mailbox Sunshine Coast Regional Council Dear Sir, I have just found out about the proposed chicken factory at Top Forestry Rd, Cooroy. I would like to register a very belated objection, as I am horrified that anyone living in our Biosphere would want to set up such an inhumane concern. It goes against everything a biosphere ought to be---- clean, green and sustainable. I also consider that there is a safety issue here, as Top Forestry Rd, Old Ceylon Rd, and even Belli Creek Rd, are simply not suitable for the large numbers of trucks which would be needed, especially as this is a school bus route. There would also be considerable environmental impacts from nutrient runoff in the steep country. Another consideration would be the effects on neighbours, who would have to live with the sight of enormous sheds, and the noise and pollution that would occur. I repeat that this is a totally inappropriate proposal which would have seriously detrimental impacts on our region. Yours faithfully, Clare Stevenson. 10, Curlew Cres. Cooroy. PO box 195 Cooroy.
