Revised Noise Report Addendum addressing Council and DEHP Requirements.
Attached to the e-mail Addendum to Acoustic Asssessment Report in Response to Noosa Council Information Request (MCU15/0086).
4. Compliance with the Noise Criteria The calculated noise levels at the nearest unit at No. 1 Bottlebrush Avenue are within the recommended noise limits during day time, evening and night time. The operation of the Village Bicycle café, as per the busy weekend period considered in the SoundPLAN model, will not impact on the noise amenity at the nearest noise sensitive places. Should noise measurements need to be carried out for administrative compliance, ATP Consulting recommends measurements at two control points as presented in Figure 4.1. Front of Café 3m from nearest tables North-eastern boundary fence (0.5m above fence line) Figure 4.1 Locations for attended noise measurements The maximum sound pressure levels at each location after 10:00pm are presented in Table 4.1. Table 4.1 Administrative Compliance Noise Levels at Premises Boundary Maximum Sound Pressure Level* Receiver Location Leq,adj,T dB(A) After 10:00pm Front of Café, 3m from nearest tables 74 North-eastern boundary of café, 0.5m above 63 fence line *Free-field With increased distance from the boundaries of the investigated premises, it is difficult to ascertain the contribution of the operational noise emissions from the café relative to the other environmental noises in the surroundings. Therefore, the recommended administrative compliance noise measurement locations are located closer to the operating Village Bicycle café to prevent interference by extraneous noise sources. www.atpconsulting.com.au 4
