Based on residents’ feedback it is recommended that the program be continued in 2017/18. In
addition, residents have also requested that Council consider funding other items that have been
damaged, such as replacing an awning or gazebo and professional roof cleaning. Not all
residents have requested these items, but given the impact from droppings, it is considered
reasonable that a subsidy of $100 for discretionary items be considered. The budget required to
continue the current program (with the inclusion of the new discretionary subsidy) is shown in
Table 2. No more pressure cleaners (HPWC) or covers are required for those already
subscribed, as the longevity of these products has been guaranteed for the duration of the next
financial year. Continued offering of air freshener refills and solar panel cleaning have been
budgeted based on the same uptake as the trial period. Maintenance budget is estimated for any
possible incidental costs for the HPWC.
