MCU 18 0166 Submission - Alyce Carter.msg
Subject: Assessment Manager Noosa Shire Council From: Alyce Carter Date: 2019-06-17T03:55:22+00:00 To: Mailbox Council Mail Submission - Material Change of Use - Service and Utility Type 3 tower Application # MCU 18/0166 244 Tablelands Rd<x-apple-data-detectors://1> Cooran Lot 22 SP 148684 Property ID 154492 It is with disillusionment that I submit opposition to the above proposal. * The Mary River Catchment plan outlines that structures are to be responsive to the rural character and amenity of the locality. * A proposal for a 35 metre telecommunications tower fails this stipulation in every way. It would create an adverse visual impact to the rural countryside, the stunning mountainous backdrop, and the 4 local residences immediately in the shadow of the tower. * The scale and form of an NBN monopole is not sensitive to rural architecture, the landform or the landscape. * The Mary River Catchment plan was devised to mitigate these ill-advised applications. * The Noosa Council takes pride in it’s hinterland communities. It would be short sighted to approve a structure unresponsive to the localities. Thank you for considering these issues Alyce Carter [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> 6/1 Merchants Parade<x-apple-data-detectors://2/2> Marcoola QLD 4564<x-apple-data-detectors://2/2>
