Chief Power, as agency, to contact the person and tell them how the Section 53(21)
Executive application does not comply with a relevant application Information Privacy
Officer requirement notify individuals of the information mentioned in Act 2009
subsection 53(2) (including publishing on the agency website).
Note – this section does not commence operation until 1 July
2026 (see section 219).
Chief Power, as agency, to refuse to deal with an access or Section 53(3)
Executive amendment application if: Information Privacy
Officer (a) the application does not comply with all relevant Act 2009
application requirements; and
the applicant has been afforded a reasonable opportunity to
consult with a view to making the application comply provide the
information commissioner with information about how to
access the notice.
(b) Note – this section does not commence operation until 1
July 2026 (see section 219).
