I wish to register my opposition to the above development proposal.

I am a resident of Parkridge, which we were informed at the time of purchase, would be the last development in the area.

Prior to moving to Parkridge I was a resident of Elysium.  I note that Elysium, The Fairways, Noosa Springs Residences and Parkridge all have very narrow roads leading to only one access/exit road.

When talking with the Developer of 61 Noosa Springs Drive at an information session earlier he informed me that as a result of studies done for this project, that there would be only an extra five vehicle trips added to the roads per day as guests would arrive by courtesy bus from the airport.  This obviously, is ludicrous when one thinks of all the staff and services involved in running such a resort, let alone that many guests will want to rent their own vehicles to explore the area and get out and about.

I have observed at Parkridge that the traffic flow and noise is much greater than anticipated and of major concern is the impact a large new development would have on the area.  The addition of another large development would only add to the noise and traffic safety.

Also, given that there is only one entry/exit road to service the four current residential areas plus the golf course and existing hotel, I feel that in the case of a fire, the addition of yet another 112 units puts further pressure on the escape route.

Adding a high density development so close to the Noosa National Park is not in keeping with Noosa values and UNESCO and Biosphere status.

I feel that Noosa is a unique location, recognised as such around the world, and consideration should be given to maintaining a balance between the lifestyle of its residents, tourists and not turning into another Maroochydore.
