PROPOSED DAM
LOT 13, #8 ROBIN PLACE, LAKE MACDONALD


Dear Tony,

1.0     INTRODUCTION
As requested, Tectonic has undertaken a geotechnical assessment for a proposed dam at 8 Robin Place,
Lake MacDonald. This report presents the results of our slope stability assessment, together with
geotechnical advice for the dam development. In summary, subject to implementation of the
recommendations made herein, there would be a Low Risk of slope instability affecting the proposed dam
in accordance with the Australian Geomechanics Society Guidelines for Landslide Risk Management,
dated March 2007 (AGS 2007).

1.1    Details of Site and Development

The subject site is described as Lot 13 on SP315578, is irregular in shape, and covers a total area of about
1.53 ha. The site has frontage to Robin Place along the south-eastern boundary, and consisted of relatively
densely vegetated, sloping bushland to the north and open grassland with sparse vegetation to the south.
The site is located within a recently developed subdivision surrounded by similar rural residential properties.
A detailed description of the site is given in Section 2.
