Council Reference: MCU20/00024 and OPW20/0055 Contact Person: Nadine Gorton Our Reference: 2552 L06 NG 18th December 2020 Chief Executive Officer Noosa Council PO BOX 141 TEWANTIN QLD Attention: Glen Conforti Dear Sir/Madam RE: FURTHER INFORMATION___________________________________________________ Development Application MCU 20/0024 & opw20/0055 - Material Change of Use – Multiple Housing Type 2 Duplex and Operational Works over land described as Lot 320 on P93113 and situated at 3 Avocet Parade, Peregian Beach I refer to the above application and Councils email of 3rd September 2020 which detailed: Infrastructure Services response to kerb and channel. From Infrastructure Services point of view, we would insist on kerb and channel along the entire frontage of the subject site - for drainage and safety purposes. The kerb and channel alignment will have to be 4m on the North South frontage and 2m along the East West frontage, due to the off centre position of the road. A radius of 10m for the kerb return would be desirable too, however the veg to be retained should be taken into account. The concrete kerb will finish at the downstream owners frontage and scour protection will need be considered too - as the sandy soils will not stand up to water being concentrated and discharged without an adequately designed outlet for this condition. Council has no concerns with some vegetation being removed from within the road reserve to provide adequate sightlines for safety purposes. Applicant’s Response to Item 16: Please refer to Attachment A which provides revised plans prepared by SCG Consulting Engineers. In accordance with the DA rules I wish to withdraw the Notice to Stop the Current Period issued 27th November 2020 and advise the decision period has recommenced. Please contact our Sunshine Coast office if you require any further information and/or clarification. Yours faithfully, Nadine Gorton Senior Planner martoo consulting
