REPORT
This report provides the Council with the necessary recommendations to enable it to adopt its
Operational Plan, 2015/16 Budget and Organisational Structure.
These resolutions were reviewed last year by King and Co. to ensure compliance with the relevant
provisions of the Local Government Act and Local Government Regulation. King and Co.
specifically reviewed the Revenue Policy and Revenue Statement to ensure compliance with
relevant legislative requirements.
The adoption of the Council’s 2015/16 Budget package is the culmination of six months of hard
work by Councillors and management to ensure that we build on the excellent 2014/15 Budget.
I would also like to highlight the incredible amount of work to prepare this budget by the Mayor,
Councillors and staff. Particular recognition should be provided to the Director Corporate Services
and his finance team for delivering a strong budget that will continue our financial sustainability
journey.
Previous Council Consideration
The Council considered the Operational Plan, 2015/16 Budget and Organisational Structure and
its Special Meeting on 12 June 2015. The documentation presented for adoption incorporates the
amendments sought by Council at that meeting.
