5. NOISE CRITERIA
5.1 Overview
The site is located within the Noosa Council area and therefore is required to comply with the requirements of
the Noosa Plan 2020 Development and Overlay Codes, and Noise impact assessment planning scheme policy.
Other criteria to be considered Environmental Protection Act and Environmental Protection (Noise) Policy.
5.2 Noosa Shire Council
The acoustic assessment will be undertaken in accordance with Noosa Plan 2020. The Noosa Plan 2020
includes noise criteria within the various codes in the document.
Based on Noosa Plan 2020 the zoning is tourist accommodation, Performance Outcomes (PO) and Acceptable
Outcomes (AO) from Table 6.3.4.3 criteria for assessment are summarised in the following table.
