PGH. CSR objection 7.5.13
Attached to the e-mail Properly Made Submission (Object No. 21) - Bob Miller MCU12/0216.
7th May 2013 Reference MCU 12/0216 Re change of use PGH Brickworks Lake Macdonald Drive, Lake Macdonald 1. We already have a very serious life threatening water surge problem in the Lake Macdonald area. By taking fill from behind the brickworks and dumping it in another area will only alter the flow of stormwater (see attached letter to Premier Campbell Newman) 2. No works should be carried out until the Council Hydrologists (Crispin Smythe) have completed their flood study of the area and have created a flood model. 3. We have already had issues with PGH filling in creek crossings with bricks to allow trucks access to the quarries, this changed the flow of storm water (they had to clear the bricks from the crossings) but what ongoing damage did that cause. 4. School bus route with up to 8 buses a day travelling along Lake Macdonald Drive. 5. It has been reported that up to 600 trucks and trailers will be travelling along Lake Macdonald Drives between the brickworks and the fill site. 6. The entrance to the fill site is situated in an extremely dangerous position. 7. Damage to the infrastructure. 8. Increased noise levels to the residents created by the trucks travelling along Lake Macdonald Drive 9. Increased dust and dirt levels It appears to me that someone must have given PGH the green light as they have spent a great deal of time and money on a new entrance and internal road works at the fill site.
