RECOMMENDATION

That Council note the report by the Co-ordinator Revenue Services to the Planning &
Organisation Committee dated 25 March 2014 providing an overview of the January 2014 Rate
Levy.



REPORT

This report provides Council with a summary of the January rate levy and outlines options for
Council to consider regarding further rate recovery action.

1.   Levy Summary

Rate notices were issued on the 14th January, with a due date of the 14th February. The gross
amount of the levy was $33.5 million, which was comprised of $30.9 million of Council rates and
charges, and $2.6 million for the Emergency Management, Fire and Rescue Levy (EMFRL).
