Garnet Street RFI_20150513_ITC (Part 1)
Attached to the e-mail OPW15/0044 Response to Information Request Email 1 of 1.
Resultant Management Practices
Following the completion of the risk analysis and subsequent review of all culvert inlet structures, it has
been determined that the following management practices will be included:
• Signage erected along Garnet Street to alert people of the potential danger.
• Inclusion of guardrail along the southern edge of Garnet Street which will act to deter people from
entering this area.
• No footpaths to be located on the southern side of Garnet Street.
Based on the above, and in accordance with the attached Risk Evaluation spreadsheets, we consider that
inlets grates should not be installed.
Issue 2
Certification of the design from an RPEQ (Hydrologist) regarding flooding affects is required.

Response
A certification letter from Rob Stewart of Hydrology and Water addressing the abovementioned items is
attached with this correspondence (refer to Attachment 1).

• Completed before the summer soccer season starts in mid-October.
• Kept to a minimum duration.
• Boundary clearance requirements around the field are 3m from the line marking. The applicant will
need to ensure that any works commenced prior to the end of season complies with the buffer
requirements.
• Impacts on the field integrity to be kept to a minimum and full reinstatement of the field to pre-works
conditions are completed by the developer.
