5.0 QUALITY CONTROL AND AUDIT INSPECTIONS
Development and Operational Works are to be carried out in accordance with the New
Noosa Plan (2020) Planning Scheme Policy 06 – Engineering Design Standards and
Inspection and Testing protocols described on the Operational Works Drawings for
Approval.
Copies of these standard documents can be accessed via the Council website.
Initial survey setout will be provided by the Principal and then the Contractor is to maintain
line and level control during construction. Invert levels, manhole locations and pipe
gradients are to be checked with string lines, laser levels and level pegs.
The contractor is to ensure that the final works are constructed as per the approved
drawings (± construction tolerance) with provision of as-constructed survey of the
completed works for checking and certification by the relevant RPEQ Engineer prior to
submission to the Local Authority. Any discrepancies in the construction shall be rectified
by the Contractor, at their cost.
The following hold point inspections are to be carried out in the presence of a representative
from the approving authority:
· Pre-Start;
· Construction Audit Inspections (refer CWITP);
· Completion of works component (refer CWITP).
The completed works will be considered practically complete with receipt of compliance
assessment forms for each component of works, issued by the “Administering Authority”.
These forms are required for “Completion of Works” to be given.
