This Concept Covenant Area Management Plan has been prepared to accompany a proposed Reconfiguration of A Lot
development application on Lot 3 on RP131369 located at 96 Black Mountain Range Rd, BLACK MOUNTAIN QLD 4563.

This Plan prescribes the various rehabilitation methodologies required to enhance the ecological resilience of the
rehabilitation area.

REHABILITATION OBJECTIVES

1. The primary objective of the rehabilitation program is to restore and enhance floristic and structural integrity to the
proposed Vegetation Protection Covenant Area.

2. Objective 1 will be achieved via targeted treatment of exotic weed taxa and comprehensive revegetation
works (where necessary).

OVERALL RESTORATION STRATEGY

The Vegetation Protection Covenant Area comprises a total area of 4.754ha and predominantly consists of a regrowth
rainforest, however, some managed grassland and modified areas are also captured.

The vegetated areas contained a low-high level of weed presence with species such as Camphor laurel and Lantana
present at varying densities. Overall, the vegetated areas onsite contains a medium in-situ ecological resilience. An
‘assisted natural regeneration’ management approach (as defined within the South-East Queensland Ecological
Restoration Framework) is anticipated to be required within these vegetated areas alongside revegetation works (where
necessary).

NOTE: Due to the low-high level of weed presence, it is expected that once weed control works have been conducted
within the Vegetation Protection Covenant Area, large areas of the Assisted Natural Regeneration Area will be denuded
of vegetation (especially in the understorey and midstorey strata’s). These areas will therefore require direct revegetation
in these locations.
