Log in to see the plans as drawnThe graph below identifies the 2019/2020 financial year as the most significant investment for upgrade and expansion projects over the next 10 years. These projects are the expansion works of the Rufous Street development and the upgrade of the North Shore Campground facility. These projects are a good indicator of the commitment from Council to further develop the services it provides to the community as well as promote future economic development to the tourism and business sectors. Figure 9: Buildings and facilities proposed upgrades Costs A public amenities priority program has been proposed to identify and prioritise public amenities considered for future upgrading and will define a set of guiding principles for the decision to provide any additional public toilets to the community. It is planned to have this program developed by the end of the 2019 calendar year. The above graph highlights the various proposed upgrade and expansion projects currently identified in Council’s draft 10-year capital works program. On the establishment of the public amenities priority program, it is anticipated there will be more upgrades required into the future development of the 10- year capital program. 4.7 Capitalisation of Assets All new and renewed assets will be acquired and commissioned in accordance with the Noosa Council Capital Delivery Framework. 4.8 Disposal and Replacement of Assets Disposal of assets will be consistent with statutory and regulatory requirements. The replacement of assets will be driven from the condition assessments. The disposal and commissioning of assets from the asset register is undertaken in the capitalisation and asset write-on/off process. This process is being delivered via the Asset Management Branch and Finance Branch. Asset Management Plan: Buildings and Facilities Page 17
