Digital Hub members – anecdotal information (free text field) Would you like to provide any additional information? Really smart move by the council to give Noosa this positioning...let's capitalise on it! The hub has created opportunities I didn't know existed locally. Apart from that, they provide a supportive and positive environment for all comers. The Digital Hub is a very significant asset for the region, one of the most important things is acting as a network hub bringing together entrepreneurs from across the region helping to create connections and spark ideas - innovation is a team sport. Chris has been an incredible human to tap on the shoulder at any time and ask questions on a myriad of topics. Being in the industry as long as I have, I know it is rare to find someone like this. The building is also incredible. I have been allowed to utilise it to its full potential several times from physical to virtual to mixed events. Great facility, interesting sessions, good vibe and food, fun meetups. Chris Boden and his team are consummate professionals. Chris himself is a beacon of intelligence and information and an extremely good sounding board. His thoughts, ideas and personal drive have shaped the Peregian Digital Hub and what one can achieve there. Deidre has been exceptional in helping us at almost every event we have had there. We have had several meet ups at the hub and they have all been successful, well attended and most importantly, have enabled our industry to grow. The key is networking with local industry peers, understanding production infrastructure. The digital hub is a great place to work and collaborate with others in the tech community. It has enabled me to return home to Noosa after leaving in 2005 when the local ecosystem was non-existent. There is now a vibrant, friendly and collaborate ecosystem here for which I am very grateful. To be able to live and now work in this region is fantastic and the digital hub has facilitated this opportunity. The digital hub has been a great resource for everyone who has had some experiences there. Some great networks have been built and it's also excellent the Noosa council supports such an organization. With more and more people moving to the area it is a key attraction and resource for knowledge, networks and learning. Chris and the team have been excellent also. I have a lot of exposure to the design and performance of other accelerators, incubators and start-up precincts in Australia (via a Board position with Innovation and Science Australia). I believe the Peregian Digital Hub has outperformed most other similar organisations and will provide a long-lasting impact on the local start-up ecosystem. The model provides good value for money for local government. 50
