In reply to your email received 5 March 2021 re: DA Form 1 Market Use Kin Kin Sportsground, please find attached our revised DA Form 1 with Part 8, 24) completed as requested, along with a copy of our original market application submitted to council on 26.6.18 that formed the basis of our Market Approval MKT180001.

Along with the information provided in our Market Approval and the conditions, here is some further information about the Kin Kin Market.  Markets are held on the first Sunday of each month from 8am – 12pm.  Stall holder setup and packup times are 7.00am – 2.00pm.  Pre covid, the markets enjoyed between 20 – 30 stall holders ranging from plants, fruit & vege, craft, hobbies, second hall items, makers, clothing and bbq food stall (ran by KKCG Inc.).  With a migration of new enthusiastic residents in Kin Kin over the past 6 months, there is momentum to build upon our markets with additional advertising etc, to increase stall holders and foot traffic.  To that end, we do not want to limit a portion of the land on the sportsground to apply the MCU, but rather the area as nominated on our sketch plan to provide for potential future growth.

Meeting the Noosa Plan Planning Scheme Codes
We understand that level of assessment required under the Noosa Plan 2020 is Code Assessment, in line with Table 5.5.16 Recreation and Open Space Use.  The application is code assessment if (A) conducted by a not-for-profit organization (Kin Kin Community Group Inc. Incorporation Number IA20855) and (B) located on Council owned or controlled land being 57 Main Street Kin Kin, Lot 200 SP233184 Noosa Council.  Our application meets the assessment benchmarks for assessable development and requirements for accepted development as we meet the code assessment conditions and the land is zoned Recreation and Open Space.
