Superior Acoustic Performance
Gyprock acoustic plasterboard products fall into two categories –
those for preventing sound transmission, and those designed to
provide sound absorption. Sound transmission products are
manufactured with a denser core, providing a physical barrier to
prevent sound moving to adjoining spaces. Absorptive plasterboard
products feature perforations to help reduce echo and improve
acoustics within a room.

While the selection of an acoustic plasterboard lining alone will
improve performance, CSR provides a range of wall and ceiling
systems which deliver superior results for transmission or
absorption, through a combination of plasterboard, insulation, fixing
methods, plenums and framing configuration.
