The report shows that the current avocado orchard has a requirement of 8.4 tonnes of nitrogen required per year; which equates to 56 tonnes of farm compost nitrogen per year. The proposed poultry operation will produce 34 tonnes of farm compost nitrogen per year. Therefore the poultry operation will provide a shortfall of 22 tonnes of farm compost nitrogen per year.
