Minor Change Application -Cover Letter
Eastern Grey Kangaroos and a Whiptail Wallaby pictured next to the preposed vegetation covenant showing the position of the proposed exclusion fence 2. lalso believe that this fence would obstruct the people working on the revegetation project in the proposed vegetation covenant, work that is being done as per Council requirements over the next 3 years, to restore and protect the natural environment. Entry through the eastern boundary is the easiest way to access the site, as other possible access points are either steeply sloping or heavily vegetated. By obstructing access to this area, the proposed fence would disrupt the efforts of workers who are dedicated to maintaining and improving the environment. 3. Furthermore, the proposed fence would also create a visual barrier that would detract from the natural beauty of the bushland area. The fence in question is excessively tall, unsightly, and out of character with the surrounding properties, many of which have no boundary fencing and present a harmonious open plan vista throughout the neighbourhood. | propose that an amendment be made to the Decision Notice RAL24/0003, that instead of the exclusion fence referred to in Requirement 8, 3 x decorative hardwood posts of approx. 500mm high (similar to the below picture) be installed where the current survey markers are located to delineate the boundary of the proposed vegetation covenant as the most straightforward and effective option.
