RE: 185 Weyba Road, Noosaville
Traffic Engineering Review of Vehicle Accessibility
           Response to Further Advice Letter

Dear Emma,

I refer to the Application over land located at 185 Weyba Road, Noosaville and Council’s Further Advice letter dated
15 September 2023 requesting further detail in relation to vehicle accessibility. In preparing this advice, reference has
been made to the development layout plan provided at Attachment A.

This advice has been prepared following an assessment of accessibility of on-site car parking by the 85th percentile
passenger vehicle (B85) and 99th percentile passenger vehicle (B99), as defined by the Australian Standard for Off Street
Car Parking (AS/NZS2890.1:2004). Swept path assessments have been undertaken utilising the computer program
AutoTRACK and the results are provided at Attachment B to this advice.

The assessments include a 300mm clearance line on all swept paths, depicted as the outer line on the graphical outputs,
and demonstrate:

 Forward in / forward out access of the site, with access to all car parking bays.
 Parking for a B99 and B85 vehicle within the undercover carport.
 Reverse in parking to both undercover parking spaces enabling exit from the site in a single forward manoeuvre.
 Parking within the aisle for one vehicle, with:
           - A B85 vehicle entering and exiting the site in a forward gear using a minimum number of manoeuvres.
           - One reposition movement for a B99 vehicle on exit from this car parking position.
 Both spaces in the undercover carport are to be provided for staff parking, as access to these spaces will be
blocked if a car is parked in the aisle. This is similar in operation to any tandem parking bay.

To enable the above to be achieved, the following changes are required:

      1. Removal of the shed at the rear of the site.
      2. Reposition of the trees shown on the plans in the south-east and south-west corners of the site.

I trust that the above is useful to Council. Should you have any questions, please feel free to call me to discuss.

Yours sincerely,

Beth Meehan
