Acknowledgement
This could not have been achieved without an incredible amount of hard work and commitment
by our Mayor, Councillors, Leadership and Management Teams and all of our staff.
We recently undertook some staff recognition functions and that process highlighted the degree
to which our staff go above and beyond to deliver services to our community. Many of our staff
have 10, 20, 30 and even 40 years of service to our Noosa community which results in continuity
of service and a deep understanding of the needs of the community.
There is rightly a real sense of pride with what we have achieved in the last year, and indeed our
last 3 ½ years. I can’t speak more highly of our staff. It is only through them that we have been
able to achieve such good outcomes and I highlighted how proud we are of our staff at our recent
staff recognition function.
We can’t rest on our laurels. There is more to do on our journey to excellence. The key areas of
focus in 2017/18 as part of our ongoing journey include:
Detailed Asset Management Plans;
Implementation of our new Transport Strategy;
Noosa Council Certified Agreement;
Focus on our Zero Emissions Strategy;
