Protected Plant Survey

         Cairns Region     Numerous habitat and flora assessments across the region for proposed
         QLD, Australia    developments. Investigations generally involve desktop and site
                           assessments of the vegetation and habitat values, and provide
                           recommendation regarding the requirements of further investigations.
                           Survey locations included Yarrabah, Mossman, central Cairns and Port
                           Douglas predominantly for Queensland Government Project Services
                           Department and Yarrabah Shire Council.
        Sunshine Coast     Ecological Impact Assessment of heath and wetland vegetation as part
                Airport    of a proposed extension of the Sunshine Coast Airport. The assessment
         QLD, Australia    included the development of an Environmental Management Plan and
                           referral to the Department of Environment and Heritage. I was lead field
                           botanist responsible for undertaking a flora survey of the site including
                           targeted searches for a number of significant species identified as
                           potentially occurring within the site and surrounding National Park.
       Miles Gas Fields    Faunal survey and habitat assessment as part of Ecological
        QLD, Australia     Assessment of proposed Gas pipeline. The project involved undertaking
                           habitat assessments and fauna trapping programs of various sites along
                           the proposed gas pipeline route. Advice regarding potential constraints
                           to the proposed route was provided. My role was as field leader and
                           botanist ensuring the program ran on time and budget and ensured all
                           technical and quality expectations were met. Additionally I was lead
                           field botanist responsible for flora surveys of the locations and Regional
                           Ecosystem mapping confirmation.
           Kingsgate       Intensive flora and fauna survey to establish baseline data for proposed
        NSW, Australia     Molybdenum mine site situated in Northern New South Wales. Lead
                           botanist responsible for undertaking significant species search and
                           vegetation mapping.
     Mega Uranium Ben      Intensive flora and fauna surveys to obtain base line survey for
              Lomond       proposed mine site. Responsible for undertaking flora surveys and
        QLD, Australia     assisting with fauna trapping program.
Chinchilla To Gladstone    Flora and fauna surveys along 600 km of proposed gas pipeline
          QLD, Australia   alignment from Chinchilla to Gladstone The project involved undertaking
                           flora and fauna assessment of various sites along the proposed route
                           and undertaking habitat assessment. Advice regarding potential
                           constraints to the proposed route was provided for QGC.
            Moranbah       Flora surveys and EVNT species searches of proposed gas
         QLD, Australia    infrastructure as part of clearing permit applications for Arrow Energy.
       Westmoreland        Flora and fauna survey to obtain baseline data over two seasons for
    QLD / N.T Australia    proposed mine on N.T. Queensland Boarder.
Sunshine Coast Region      Numerous flora and fauna surveys for baseline data, impact
                           assessments, clearing permits as part of development applications
                           across the Sunshine Coast since 2001.
               Valdora     Ecological investigation including significant species survey and flora
         QLD, Australia    survey of 200 hectares proposed quarry.
Glass House Mountains      Flora survey and vegetation buffer assessment as part of a
        QLD, Australia     development application for proposed residential estate.
          Hyatt Coolum     Flora survey and habitat survey of a proposed development along
         QLD, Australia    Coolum Beach foreshore. Expert advice was provided on habitat and
                           ecological values associated with the site.
