Thank-you for your time Grace and peace Linda Hanson ________________________________ Tuesday, 7th May, 2013 44 Kamala Drive Lake MacDonald Q 4563 Dear Mr Brennan I am a resident of the suburb of Lake MacDonald and I am writing to share my dismay at application MCU12/0216. As a frequent user of Lake MacDonald Drive with three children in the back seat extra trucks on the road will make this section more dangerous. Already there has been an incident of a truck pulling out when a car travelling at 60 km/h was in view causing the driver of the car to brake heavily. I use the road to drive my son to Tadpoles. Having so many trucks go past a child care centre entrance with cars frequently coming and going would not be good. Lake MacDonald Drive is also used by school students to walk and ride to school. Having trucks go past when children are crossing is not advisable. And as you know it is council policy for kids to ride and walk rather than create extra car parks at the school, so I imagine council will want to do their upmost to make travel safe for children walking and riding to school. My girls travel on the school bus along Lake MacDonald Drive. Where the trucks come out is on the bus route where children are waiting and children are crossing the road to catch the bus. Once again I do not think it would be advisable to have more trucks in an area frequented by children. Therefore in summary I object to the extra trucks carrying the clay travelling along Lake MacDonald Drive. Yours sincerely Linda Hanson (Rev) 44 Kamala Drive Lake MacDonald Q 4563 5472 0402
