REPORT A report on a development application for Building Works within a Coastal Protection Area, situated at 26 Lorikeet Drive, Peregian Beach was considered by Council’s Planning & Environment Committee on 12 July 2016 (Agenda Item 1, Page 3). At its Ordinary Meeting on 21 July 2016 Council resolved to refuse the Building Works application. The following reasons were identified for refusal of the Building Works application: 1. The proposed building works conflicts with the provisions of The Noosa Plan’s Natural Resources Overlay Code. 2. The application fails to provide revegetation within a 5.0m setback from the seaward boundary to assist in maintaining natural coastal processes including the natural cycles of erosion and accretion of foreshore areas.
