1 INTRODUCTION
Civil Geotechnical Consultants was engaged by Matt Bradley Designs to undertake a slope
assessment of the proposed development at 416-411 Black Pinch Road, Cootharaba. The site is
located within the Noosa Shire Council area hazard overlay map, which requires geotechnical
assessment and reporting to occur. An initial site visit and slope assessment report has been
conducted to inform the potential works (if any) associated with proposed residential
development.
1.1 Details of Development
The proposed development at 416-411 Black Pinch Road, Cootharaba involves the construction
of a raised, piered dwelling on a natural sloping block. Provided designs/layout suggest the
house footprint on the site will be approximately 260m2. Refer to Figure 1 below and Appendix 1
for plan details.

1.2 Site Location and Description
The site is located on western side of Black Pinch Road approximately 13km south west of
Boreen Point. The proposed dwelling is accessed via a steep farm track that runs off Black Pinch
Road with the proposed dwelling to be constructed in the south western corner of the property.
Provided plans indicate that little to no earthworks are intended for the site and the house is to be
piered to sit above the natural sloping terrain.
