 Engineering oversight

 Engineering consultants, International Coastal Management
(ICM) oversaw the construction works. Their team visited
the construction sites on five occasions, met with the
construction contractor and TNC, took measurements of the
reef patches to verify compliance with the approved reef
specifications and provided ad hoc construction advice.

ICM is developing the final reef diagrams and will provide the
Registered Professional Engineers of Queensland (RPEQ)
 certification of the build.

Final reefs
The specifications of the reefs at each restoration site are summarized below:

Tewantin: Shoreline length = 104m Reef footprint = 439m2
Goat Island: Shoreline length = 56m Reef footprint = 224m2
Noosa Sound East: Shoreline length =245m Reef footprint = 985m2
Noosa Sound West: Shoreline length = 92m Reef footprint = 600m2

Total (all sites): Shoreline length = 497m Reef footprint = 2268m2

The final engineering diagrams of the reef patch configurations at each registration site are annexed to this report.

See Annex 44

Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) certification of the reef build by engineering consultants,
International Coastal management, is annexed to this report.

See Annex 45

Below is a selection of images of the oyster reefs (Figure 30-33). Each restoration area includes reef patches as well as the
soft sediments and marine and shoreline plant communities surrounding the reef patches.

We call on all locals and visitors to treat these entire restoration areas with respect; to avoid anchoring in these areas; and,
as much as possible leave them in piece to regenerate and provide valuable services to the Noosa River and its people.
