Attachment 1 - Year Three (2021/2022) Summary of progress against actions of the Environment Strategy Implementation Plan.

                                                  The Noosa Environment Strategy 2019 requires review of changes to the extent and number
                                                  of coastal Regional Ecosystems (REs) every five years. Detailed RE mapping for the Eastern
                                                  Beaches Foreshores Reserves was extracted from State government datasets as part of
                                                  EBFMP development, revealing significant expansion of mapped High Value Regrowth (HVR)
                                                  and some expansion of mapped REs. The total mapped HVR and RE vegeta�on increased
                                                  from 87.3 ha to 126.9 ha from 2021 to 2022, including four new REs - 12.2.5, 12.2.7, 12.2.13,
                                                  and 12.2.15. While most of the increase reflects more detailed and accurate mapping rather
                                                  than increased vegeta�on extent alone, this updated data provides an accurate benchmark
                                                  for future monitoring.
