twelve (12) active SPPs, one (1) of which applies to the proposed development, as
demonstrated in Table 6.1 below.

SPP 1/92 -

               Development and the Not Applicable
Conservation of Agricultural Land This SPP lapsed on the 18 December 2012 and has been
replaced by SPP 1/12 Protection of Queensland’s Strategic

Notwithstanding this, the site is identified within the Noosa

                                                             Natural Resources Overlay .as containing
Agricultural Land Conservation Areas (ALCA). However the
proposed fa lity is located approximately 600m to’ the south
east of the mapped ALCA and will not impact on the current
or future use of the land as agricultural land. Furthermore, the

establishment of the proposed facility will occupy a relatively
small lease area (80 m2) of the total 106 ha site area. The
facility is also located on the periphery of the site and on
cleared land to avoid interference. Additionally the proposed
use for a telecommunication facility will not affect the
agricultural practices on site as the proposal is not for a
habitable or sensitive land use, and if the facility is no longer
operational the site can be easily decommissioned and the
                                           land rehabilitated.
