The proposed NBN Co facility, compnslng a 30 metre high monopole with attached
antennas and outdoor cabinets has been sited in the most appropriate location whilst
ensuring adequate coverage is achieved.
The facility has been strategically sited and designed to mini mise visibility within the
surrounding environment as much as practicable. In this regard the proposal satisfies the
requirements of the Telecommunications Act 1997, whilst also addressing coverage
deficiencies within the local area.
J’o.
The proposal is also broadly consistent with the stated objectives of the Noosa Plan 2009.
It is considered that the proposal will provide an important community benefit to Boreen
Point by providing coordinated and open access shared communication infrastructure, and
therefore greatly improved fixed wireless broadband coverage within the local area.
