RECOMMENDATION
That Council note the report by the Manager Revenue Services to the Services & Organisation
Committee Meeting dated 12 March 2019 providing an overview of the January 2019 Rate Levy.


REPORT
This report provides Council with a summary of the January 2019 rate levy.

1.                       Levy Summary

Rate notices were issued on 15 January 2019 with a due date of 15 February 2019. The gross
amount of the levy was $38.3 million, which comprised of $35 million of Council rates and
charges, and $3.3million for the State Emergency Management Levy. Between July 2018 and
January 2019 the net increase in rateable properties was 71, representing minimal growth of
0.23%.
