     1 Introduction
Civil Quality Assurance (CQA) have been engaged by Andres Gabarrin (AG) to provide
Level 1 Geotechnical testing and inspection services, in accordance with AS 3798-2007
Guidelines on earthworks for commercial and residential developments and AS 2870-2011
Residential slabs and footings, at 135 Lake Weyba Drive, Noosaville, Queensland.
Up to 2.5m of Fill has been placed on the site by AG and tested by CQA at the following
    locations:
    o Lots 1, 2 and 4, 135 Lake Weyba Drive, Noosaville, Queensland
Note - Lot 3 was not filled
Test locations are shown in Appendix A.

     2 Site Description
The site is located in a semi-rural area surrounded by residential developments and
uncleared and semi cleared bushland. The site is approximately rectangular as shown in
Appendix A. Prior to the works the site was a rural residential property comprising semi-
     cleared bushland.
Up to 8,000m3 of fill material has been placed on the site by AG to a depth of up to 2.5m.
Lot 2 was filled with Clay Fill and Lots 1 and 4 with Sand Fill.

     3 Fieldwork
21 in-situ density tests along with 7 accompanying laboratory Proctor standard compaction
tests and 14 Max Min Density Tests were undertaken on the site by CQA and in the CQA
Laboratory on 20 September 2022. Dry Density Ratio and Density Index Reports
compiled by Civil Quality Assurance Pty Ltd are detailed in Appendix B.
During the in-situ testing the earthworks surface was observed and seen to be free of
     deleterious material.
The amount and frequency of testing is sufficient to comply with Level 1 supervision in
     accordance with AS3798.

     4 Test results
Lots 1 and 4 - Test results (Appendix B) indicate that the Sand fill has been compacted to
between 82 and 87.5% of Density Index.
Lot 2- Test results (Appendix B) indicate that the Clay fill has been compacted to between
97.5% and 99% of Standard Maximum Dry Density at a moisture content of 0% to -2.5%
     of Optimum.

     5 Conclusions
All test results indicate that the compaction requirements specified in Table 5.1 of AS3798
has been achieved for the fill placed by AG and tested by CQA.
Level 1 Supervision in accordance with AS 3798 has been undertaken on the following Site
     areas:
    o Lots 1, 2 and 4, 135 Lake Weyba Drive, Noosaville, Queensland
The fill placed on the site by AG in the areas detailed above may be considered ‘Controlled
     Fill’ in accordance with AS2798.
Any other fill present on site shall be treated a ‘Uncontrolled Fill’ in accordance with AS2798
unless documentary evidence can be provided to the contrary.
This certification only provides an assurance of the density of the fill placed by AG and
tested by CQA. Where varying depths of fill are placed over unknown underlying materials,
differential consolidation is likely and should be considered during any overlying
     construction.
Unless otherwise stated, this certification does not address any other issues which may be
relevant to foundation and building construction.

Limitations
We have prepared this technical memorandum in substantial accordance with the
generally accepted engineering practices as they exist in the site area at the time of our
study. No warranty either express or implied is made.
It should be recognized that definition and evaluation of subsurface conditions are
difficult. Judgments leading to conclusions and recommendations are generally made
with incomplete knowledge of the subsurface conditions present due to the limitations
of data from field studies. The conclusions of this assessment are based on the
information made available to us by the client and engineering analyses.
This technical memorandum may be used only by the client and only for the purposes
stated, within a reasonable time from its issuance. Land use, site conditions (both on
site and off site) or other factors may change over time, and additional work may be
required with the passage of time. Any party other than the client who wishes to use
this technical memorandum shall notify CQA of such intended use. Based on the
intended use of the technical memorandum, CQA may require that additional work be
performed and that an updated memorandum be issued. Non-compliance with any of
these requirements by the client or anyone else will release CQA from any liability
resulting from the use of this report by any unauthorised party.
