3.2       Vegetation Hazard Classes
The following vegetation hazard classes (classified in accordance with QFES (2019)) were identified
within the assessment area which includes a 150m buffer surrounding the site:
      • Vegetation Hazard Class 2.1 – Complex to simple, semi-deciduous mesophyll to notophyll
           vine forest;
      •    Vegetation Hazard Class 8.1 – Wet eucalypt tall open forest;
      • Vegetation Hazard Class 9.1 – Moist to dry eucalypt open forests on coastal lowlands and
           ranges;
      •    Vegetation Hazard Class 38.4 – Continuous dryland cropping and horticulture;
      •    Vegetation Hazard Class 39.2 – Low to moderate tree cover in built-up areas;
      • Vegetation Hazard Class 42.6 – Nil to very low vegetation cover; and
      • Vegetation Hazard Class 43.6 – Water bodies or very low vegetation cover.
The characteristics of each observed vegetation hazard class are described in the following sections
whilst Plan No. BF01 – Vegetation Hazard Classes depicts their distribution across the assessment
area.

3.2.2 Vegetation Hazard Class 8.1 – Wet eucalypt tall open forest
Comprehensive revegetation works are proposed within the proposed ‘Vegetation Covenant’ in the
western site extent and have been completed with the western extent of the southerly adjacent lot.
The species palette within these revegetation areas mimics 12.3.2 which is described as “Eucalyptus
