Attached to the e-mail PM Submission Object - Mark Powell MCU16/0081.
15t12116 Noosa Shire Council The Assessment Manager for File Number MCU 16/0081 I submit that this proposed material change of use is not consistent with Noosa's Town PIan. This parcel of land is designated "Open Space-Recreational Use" on the Noosa Town Plan. This parcel of land is on Noosa National Park boundary and contains habitat important not only to the iconic Koala, but to all the fauna and flora therein. Loss of habitat is the single biggest threat to Noosa Shire wildlife and further habitat loss is totatly undesirable. To develop this land will necessitate destruction of natural habitat and negatively impact on the nearby waterways of Eenie Creek and Lake Weyba. A busy facility such as an aged care residence in this location would also compound existing traffic pressures ... all the same reasons why a similar proposalfor a nearby site was rejected a few years ago. Please do not grant approvalfor this development application. There are a number of already cleared sites within Noosa's urban footprint which could service the same perceived need and have Town Planning uses designated as consistent with good town planning principles and the existing Noosa Town Plan. Yours sincerely, zzl24 Mark Powell
