Broiler farm letter
Attached to the e-mail Lobbying Councillors prior to Ordinary Meeting - Sue Morris - MCU12/0184.
Ken & Sue Morris 10 King Parrot Lane COOROY QLD 4563 0409 444 043 Development Application Ref: MCU 12.0184 & ERA 12 / 0087 13th November 2013 Dear Councillors, I note that the Planning Committee’s report on the Development Application for the Cooroy Broiler Farm is to be referred to the next meeting of Council. I and my husband live in King Parrot Lane, quite close to the site of the application. If the proposal proceeds, our residential amenity will be adversely affected in a number of ways and we believe the value of our investment in our home will be lessened significantly. Our specific concerns are: Noise, i.e. heavy vehicles passing on road Smell/fumes from poultry and chemicals Dust and Diesel pollution Impact on tank water quality Road safety/traffic safety Endangered species threatened I would be grateful if you would take these concerns into account in your deliberations on this matter and vote against the proposal. Yours sincerely, Ken and Sue Morris Cc: Mayor, Mark Jamieson Councillor Rick Baberowski Councillor Tim Dwyer Councillor Peter Cox Councillor Chris Thompson Councillor Jenny McKay Councillor Christian Dickson Councillor Ted Hungerford Councillor Jason O’Pray Councillor Stephen Robinson Councillor Greg Rogerson Councillor Russell Green Councillor Tony Wellington
