Dear Sir/Madam
Information Request
Planning Act 2016
I refer to your application and advise that Council requires further information to satisfactorily assess the proposal.
application details
Application No.	MCU22/0048 & OPW22/0089
Street Address:	Jetty 222 Gympie Tce Noosaville Qld 4566
Real Property Description:	Lot 160 CP 908649
Planning Scheme:	Noosa Plan 2020 (25 September 2020)
INFORMATION REQUIRED
The information requested is set out below:
Issue – size of jetty head and number of pontoons
The plans indicate the jetty head/pontoon area to the north is increasing substantially in size. This suggests there would be an intensification of the use of the site and further there are concerns this would encourage more visitors to the site where made available to the public. It is noted the fuel bowser is also in this location. Noosa Plan seeks that development ensures there is no increase to the scale and intensity of commercial operations on the Noosa River.
Information Required
Specify the need for additional pontoons/expansion of existing jetty head area and if this area is made available to the general public or to users of the boats for hire.
Provide a response to Performance outcome PO9 (c) & (e), (h) & (i) of the Waterways Works Codes with respect to all additional structures.

Issue – number of vessels
The planning report specifies that currently 21 vessels can be moored to the existing facility, but the redevelopment will allow for 31 vessels to be moored. This indicates this may intensify the use of the site.
The application needs to demonstrate that no increase is proposed in terms of number of vessels and craft in association with the proposed redevelopment.
Information Required
Provide a copy of the lease arrangement which stipulates the maximum number of vessels approved in the lease area.

Issue - landing
The plans did not indicate if there are any changes to the landing than what currently exist, while the report suggest there are changes.
Information Required
Provide plans that show all dimensions of the existing and proposed infrastructure.

Issue - piles
There will be a number of piles associated with the pontoons which create additional structures to what currently exists. This results in additional structures that clutter the water and impact on visual amenity.
Information Required
Provide a visual representation of the river and foreshore view of the new infrastructure at high and low tide.
due date for response to information request
The due date for providing the requested information is 25 July 2022. Email your response to [email protected]. Please advise Council of your response to this information request in accordance with section 13 of the Development Assessment Rules.
If you do not provide a response before the due date, it will be taken as if you have decided not to respond to the information request and Council will continue with the assessment of your application.
