143 Camp Flat Rd BLIBLI QLD 4560 Attn: Jack Lewis Noosa Council PO Box 141 TEWANTIN QLD 4565 June 20, 2015 Submission: MCU 15/0034 Dear Mr Lewis I would like to lodge a submission against application MC 15/0034 to erect an NBN telecommunications facility at 249 Schreibers Rd, Cooran. Iam the owner of an adjoining property at 211 Schreibers Rd, Cooran, Lot 2, RP807386 — the closest existing house to the proposed tower. My house is actually closer than that of the landowner who Aurecon claims has given approval to lodge this application for a tower. T object on the following grounds: Possible adverse health affects The correspondence I have received from Aurecon indicates the estimated maximum electromagnetic exposure level to be 0.071% of the acceptable public exposure limit. If the map supplied by Aurecon and my calculations are correct, my home and half my land (the back paddock and back yard) are within the 200-300m of the proposed tower, which puts it in that maximum EME range, according to the Calculated EME table supplied by Aurecon. In plain English, I am going to cop the worst of what this tower will throw out. Numerous studies and research are pointing to links between electromagnetic exposure and health effects such as fatigue, headaches, difficulty concentrating, and at the worse end of the scale, cancer.
