We wish to strongly object to the above proposal & do so for the following reasons:

- factory farming is incompatible with biosphere status;
- there are minimal benefits to the local community;
- endangered species are at risk from water pollution;
- the heavy vehicles are inappropriate for the local narrow roads;
- the noise, odour and dust will affect many people;
- it will adversely affect hinterland property values, and 
- it sets a precedent for more such approvals.
