2.    BACKGROUND
A development approval for a Material Change of Use - Ancillary Dwelling Unit, Commercial
Business - Type 1 Office, Commercial Business - Type 2 Medical and Reconfiguration of a Lot –
Access Easement was issued on 17 October 2019, with a Negotiated Decision notice issued 19
December 2019.
A minor change was approved on 16 July 2020 for design changes to the building, including an
extension to the basement to include a Medical Linear Accelerator Bunker. Exerts of the approved
plans are included in Figures 2 and 3 below.
A further minor change was refused by Council at its Ordinary meeting on 15 September 2021 for
design changes including increased height from 10.2 metres to 11.55 (roof fascia) and 12.15
metres (top of the ridge of the roof), and 11.3 metres for the lift and stair overrun to 13.25 metres.
The proposed changes also included amendments to the plan’s balconies, roof overhangs and
façade treatment.
