GENERAL COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES                                           24 OCTOBER 2022


7   NOOSA RIVER OYSTER ECOSYSTEM RESTORATION PROJECT – FINAL REPORT
    Motion
    Moved:           Cr Stockwell
    Seconded:        Cr Jurisevic
    That Council note the report by the Director Environment and Sustainable Development to
    the General Committee Meeting dated 24 October 2022 and note that the Noosa Oyster
    Ecosystem Restoration Project Final Report (provided as Attachment 1 to the report) has
    met as meeting the final requirements of the Alliance & Funding Agreement, which concluded
    on 30 September 2022.

    That Council note the report by the Director Environment and Sustainable Development to
    the General Committee Meeting dated 24 October 2022 and note the Noosa Oyster
    Ecosystem Restoration Project Final Report (provided as Attachment 1 to the report) and
    that in accordance with Council’s resolution of 21 April 2022, the Nature Conservancy provide
    further information to Council pertaining to the receipt and expenditure of all Council funds
    by the Nature Conservancy in relation to the Oyster Restoration project including information
    in regard obtaining FY21 minor consultant invoices but not limited to:
    (A)   employee costs (previously provided by project) broken down into further detail for
          each TNC staff member by total total hours and total salary cost by project
    (B)   all consultancy invoices minor or otherwise pertaining to the financial year 2020-2021;
          and
    (C)   If it is deemed necessary for commercial in confidence purposes any information
          provided will remain in confidence; and
    (D)   Identification of individual staff will not occur.

    However, should this information not be provided to Council within 30 days of this motion,
    Council will consider withholding funding to the value of funds unable to be acquitted.

    This amendment was not accepted by the Chair.

    That General Committee Agenda Item 7 be deferred to the Ordinary Meeting on the 27th
    October 2022 for more information.
