We further note parts of the groundcover has been invaded and colonised by a range of
environmental weed species such as Asparagus africana (African asparagus), Coral berry
(Ardisia crenata) and Lantana camara (Lantana) with Megathyrsus maximus (Guinea grass)
around the perimeter.

Adjacent to, above and beside the car parking areas and tennis courts is a line of disturbed
vegetation containing Bribie Island pine (Callitris columellaris), Pink bloodwood (Corymbia
intermedia), Brush box (Lophostemon confertus) and Red honeysuckle (Banksia serrata)
along with a range of planted specimens which includes native plants such as Native daphne
(Pittosporum undulatum), Hovea (Hovea acutifolia) and Blueberry ash (Elaeocarpus
reticularis) (see Photographic Plate 1). The understorey and groundcover coverage are low
in places with small areas containing a range of exotic and native landscape amenity shrubs.
