Dear Wade
Visit Sunshine Coast offers our endorsement for the proposed redevelopment of Elanda Point
Campground to rejuvenate the property into a class leading Eco Tourism facility.
The proposal dovetails perfectly into our Destination Tourism Plan (DTP) and will provide our
region with a unique and marketable product for both domestic and international clients.
Our organisation supports your endeavours to secure an appropriate proponent to be the
applicant for prescribed development works to construct a public jetty to facilitate fishing and
recreation abutting the proposed re-development. Such infrastructure will provide a significant
enhancement to the Sunshine Coast recreational experience and overall appeal of the tourism
product.
The overall project, the importance of the public jetty infrastructure to facilitate fishing and
associated recreational activities to the Sunshine Coast tourism industry cannot be understated.
Visit Sunshine Coast supports all aspects of the re-development and look forward to partnering
with you into the future. ;
